Events
The Shoreham Society organises many events each year. They include ‘town hall’ style meetings on major plans and developments that could impact Shoreham, regular talks on local campaigns, topical issues and Shoreham’s history, and social events for members, friends and guests. Everyone is welcome.

He will explore how the town needs to adapt over the next 20 years to keep cool, dry and green. |

 Jun 197:00 pm – 8:30 pm Tree ActionTree Action is a not-for-profit community interest company launched in 2019 that organises and raises funds for tree planting projects in schools, colleges or on public land. It aims to connect young people with the environment to support their mental well-being, give them the opportunity to learn about and care for trees, and make their own positive contributions to tackling climate change. |
 May 157:00 pm – 8:30 pm Annual General Meeting 2026Our guest speaker at the Shoreham Society’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 15th May is Lis Long, CEO of Apron Community CIC. She will talk about the Apron Community Garden in Buckingham Park and her new project to regenerate a former equestrian site in south Lancing into a Community Farm. |
 Mar 207:00 pm – 8:30 pm St Mary de Haura Church Hall DevelopmentOn 27 January 2026 a planning application was submitted to convert the existing St Mary de Haura Church Hall building on the corner of East Street and New Road into a new church/community hall and parish office with 5 houses and 2 flats. |

 Sep 197:00 pm – 8:30 pm History of the Sussex Archaeological SocietyAn illustrated talk covering a brief history of the Sussex Archaeological Society. Founded in 1846, the Society is the oldest of its type in the country. The Society now opens and cares for a number of historic properties, museum collections and landscapes across the counties of East and West Sussex. |
