This richly illustrated talk reveals the history of the area, from the Late Bronze Age to the present day. It features the tree species involved over the centuries, the literary outpourings about Chanctonbury Ring by nineteenth and twentieth century novelists, poets and travel writers and even a murder on the hill in 1330!
