The Post Office, the Library and The Shoreham Centre…three buildings that many of us walk past every day. But why do they look the way they do?

Event Date:
Oct 17 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In this talk, Richard Bingham will take you on a short walk around two corners, from Buckingham Road to Pond Road. On the way, we will stop by the Post Office (built c. 1933), the Library at Pond Road (1966) and The Shoreham Centre (2013). What do these three notable buildings tell us about the changing face of public architecture in Britain?

Richard writes on architecture for The Brighton Society and The Shoreham Society. He is also the new Chair of The Shoreham Society.
