Dr Geoffrey Mead will give a fascinating illustrated talk about the development of Bungalow Town, which got its name in the early 1900s, before the area it occupied became known today as Shoreham Beach.

Event Date:
Jul 17 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Shoreham’s history is centred around the shifting mouth of the Adur, with the ‘Old’ and ‘New’ communities developing in response to the changing geography.

However, Shoreham Beach is also part of that history, and Bungalow Town has its own claim to fame through its distinctive settlement pattern and social history.
