This illustrated talk by Alan Barwick looks at the first railways in Sussex and what brought about the coming of branch line between Shoreham-by-Sea and Horsham.

With then and now photos, and maps, the route of the line is traced and the history of the line told. The speaker’s interest in the line comes from the fact that he travelled on the line between Henfield and Steyning in the 1960s to attend school.
